BUILDING SELF-ESTEEM, STRENGTH AND CONFIDENCE

Owner, Rebecca Masel, with her husband, Gary, and their children, Alexandra and Spencer.

In the same location for over 35 years, Artistry Dance Academy (formerly Stella’s Dancers’ Studio), continues to offer the same high-quality dance instruction set forth by friend and original founder, Stella Palumbo.  In 1984, the first Baby Ballerinas began taking classes here. After lots of fun and determination they eventually put on their tutus and shoes and stole the audience's heart with their performance. Since then, thousands of students have grown into poised, confident dancers at Artistry Dance Academy (“ADA”).

The goal of owner and artistic director, Rebecca Masel, is to develop your child physically, mentally and emotionally through a warm, family atmosphere that enhances the dancer's self-esteem and confidence. Parents are encouraged to observe their children in class.

ADA provides children of all ages an outlet for creative self-expression, exercise, and making lifetime friendships through dance. Our faculty is committed to each and every one of our students. We are focused on quality dance training and the many benefits dance can provide for our students. ADA supports our students in pursing their goals, whether once a week recreational dancers or members of our competition dance program.  Providing a comfortable and safe environment for our dance family in South Florida has been our mission for over three decades.

Rebecca has been a member of Dance Educators of America and Dance Masters of America organizations which have rigorous membership qualifications. With a dedicated, professional faculty of 15, ADA offers a full schedule of dance activities for children ages 2 1/2 through adult.

Classes are offered in jazz, tap, ballet, pointe, hip hop, musical theater, lyrical, contemporary, acrobatics, vocal lessons, nonperformance technique (leaps and turns/strength and conditioning), and competition. Combination ballet and tap are available for preschoolers and beginning students.

BENEFITS OF DANCE INSTRUCTION

Because dance is fun, it accomplishes what many exercise programs do not -- the establishment of a long-term habit of fitness. Dance builds strength, balance, stamina, cardiovascular fitness, agility and flexibility, which are health benefits enjoyed by dancers of all age groups and ability levels.

With the support and guidance of experienced, caring teachers, ADA dancers gain a sense of achievement and self-confidence with the mastery of each new skill.

Through our dance Company, we emphasize developing strong technique to prepare for a professional career for the serious student.

EVERY STUDENT IS A STAR

Dance is for everyone.  Our dancers receive the same dedication, attention and encouragement whether they are once a week recreational dancers or part of our competition dancing program.
